Just over here making my ❤️ happy…
I’m always on the lookout for new products to try and I’m happy to give my opinion authentically. @saltwise asked me to try their product. So here goes:
This is a salt alternative. It’s made from a succulent plant that grows near the ocean called salicornia. I’ve seen it here and there on cooking shows. They call it sea beans or sea asparagus. The planned itself is crunchy and salty. It’s often used as an edible garnish in foods. Especially in seafood dishes and salads.
The white one was very salty like regular table salt almost . Put that on top of the finished dish like a finishing salt. The green one almost had like a salty Matcha flavor. The saltiness was a little more subtle.
Both worked well. The white one seemed more practical from a cost per use for adding salt standpoint. they did mention using the green one for like rimming a glass in a cocktail which makes sense.
You will need to try them and see what you think! They have all the certifications like non GMO, gluten free, vegan, etc.
as of this exact moment that I’m posting it looks like the white version is on sale right now on the website ! So if you like salt but you need to stick to a lower sodium diet I definitely recommend giving this one a try!
