This product arrived well-packaged: boxed and in a bubble bag. The box contained two glass jars, sealed, one containing white salt and the other containing green salt. I tasted both and compared them to regular salt. The white one was strongly salty and I could not distinguish it in flavour from regular salt - it had no after taste, and no salt "burn" on the tongue. The green one however, was delightful, milder and tasted of the sea. This salt is 100% plant based and made from Salicornia, which is derived from coastal vegetation known as Sea Asparagus, Glasswort and Pickleweed. The salts contain up to 50% less sodium than regular salt and naturally contain Vitamins B3 and D, as well as Magnesium; Zinc; Iron; Calcium and Potassium (which is essential for all bodily functions.) It is suitable for Vegan diets, is gluten-free and has zero additives. If you're a salt-lover, and health-conscious, this product is for you. The box comes with two recipes included, plus a small salt shaker in the form of a shiny metal cube, plus a handy canvas tote, so that you can give the salts as a gift if you wish.

I got this combo pack to try both the white and green. The white is great - not really much difference in taste from regular salt, I use it anywhere I would use salt for seasoning, though it's a bit pricey for cooking - though I tend to cook with minimal salt and add later to taste anyway. The green is a bit of an aquired taste. The seaweed flavor is more pronounced, so it only works with certain foods. I've tried it on a few things like tomoatoes and hard boiled eggs and it didn't do it for me. It's fine on stuff like tuna.

I tried the two sampler. The white is more like plain salt. And the green has an extra umami flavor .I use it on popcorn, pasta and wherever I want a lil extra salt.

I was using another brand that unfortunately ran into some supply issues. I was thrilled to find Saltwise and give it a try. The new "white" version looks so much like reg salt, just a bit more 'clumpy'. It also has more saltiness than the green, and unfortunately it also has more sodium, so beware. But still, it's wonderful to have a product that makes such a difference the taste of my food.

Have been using the white & green salts from Saltwise for few months now, must say food tastes better and it’s a much more healthier option than common salt. The quantity usage is lesser than conventional salt. Like the green variant a tad more over the white, meat tastes better with green. Extremely happy with the benefits of the product, esp. low sodium makes it good for the heart.
